Key findings

5,160 awarded public contracts in the Netherlands end between 2026-10-28 and 2027-10-28: 2,037 within 3 months, 3,153 within 6 months. 55% of the end dates are stated on the award notice; 2,339 are estimated from a start, signing or publication date plus the stated duration. 1,255 of the contracts are framework agreements. • Business services: law, marketing, consulting, recruitment, printing and security has the most contracts ending in the next 12 months: 764 (15%).
• ProRail B.V. has the most contracts ending: 111 in 12 months, 52 within 3 months.
• The busiest month for contract ends is December 2026: 1,207.
• Largest stated value among the 20 listed: €206.6M (whole procedure and term), buyer on the notice gemeente Hulst, ends 2027-01-01.
• End dates checked against the official notice: 98.9% correct (n=100, 95% CI 94.0% to 99.8%, measured 2026-10-26).

Notable = the largest plausible stated values among non-framework contracts with a named holder. The value is the value stated on the notice for the whole procedure and term, not a yearly figure; for a joint procurement it can cover several buyers, so it is not the buyer's own spend. Estimated end dates: see the method. Holders that could be a private person are never named.

Methodology

• Source: contract award notices of TED and TenderNed, normalised daily; every row keeps its notice URL.
• Counted: awarded contracts of buyers in the Netherlands whose end date falls between 2026-10-28 and 2027-10-28. A corrected or re-published notice of the same procedure and winners counts once (latest version).
• End date: the date the notice states; when it states none, the start, signing or publication date plus the stated duration (the basis is stored per row and shown as "estimated"). Renewal options and early terminations are not known to us, so a contract can end later or earlier.
• Stated value: the awarded value in EUR where the notice states one, after the platform's plausibility filter (dropped under EUR 1,000, above EUR 1bn, above 10x the estimate, above EUR 250 million, framework ceilings and notices without a winner). It is the value of the whole contract term.
• Accuracy: 98.9% of 100 sampled end dates matched the official notice within 7 days (95% CI 94.0% to 99.8%, measured 2026-10-26). The sample covers all countries we hold, not the Netherlands alone; a Netherlands-only audit is not done yet. Method: /data/quality/.
• Holders are organisations with a company or public-body form; names that could be a private person are withheld at ingest. A registry number is shown only when the notice names the holder alone and the number is a company number.

Coverage and caveats

• Award notices reach the portals up to a few weeks after the award, so very recent awards are missing.
• Below-threshold procurement is covered only where the national portal publishes it (voluntary below the EU thresholds).
• Contracts awarded without a published notice, and contracts whose notice states neither an end date nor a duration, are not in this count.
• This is a count of published notices, not a measure of public spending or of the real expiry of every contract.
