Search inside tender documents

A keyword search on GET /v1/tenders also looks inside the text of the tender documents of Dutch calls. Each match comes with the document, the page and a short passage, linked to the official page.

Coverage

Documents are searched for Dutch calls submitted through TenderNed itself: 36 of 50 open Dutch calls in our sample. Calls on another platform, and every other country, are searched by title and description only.

Documents and key facts of a call

The tender brief lists the documents (name, type, size; open them on the official page) and the key facts we could read: submission and questions deadline, number of lots, award criteria with weights, minimum turnover, references, certificates (ISO 9001, ISO 27001, VCA) and guarantees. Each fact carries its source passage. Extracted from the document, verify at the source.

curl -s "https://api.arcadiumdata.io/v1/tenders/nl_tenderned:..." -H "Authorization: Bearer $ARCADIUM_API_KEY"

# keyFacts: [{ kind, value, docName, page, snippet }]

Alerts

A saved keyword search on the paid Tender Radar tiers can set inDocuments: true on POST /v1/watch/tenders to be alerted when the keyword appears only inside a document.

Questions

Which tenders have searchable documents?

Dutch calls submitted through TenderNed itself. In a sample of 50 open Dutch calls, 36 were; the rest were rectifications, calls without documents or calls on another platform. Other countries and platforms have no documents here, and the search says so by returning title matches only.

Do you host the documents?

No. We keep searchable text only, with personal data removed, and show a passage of at most 300 characters with a link to the official page. The files stay on the official platform. Text is kept until 90 days after the deadline or award.

How reliable are the key facts?

They are read from the documents by fixed rules, each with the passage it came from; a fact without a passage is never shown. They can be incomplete or superseded by a later note, so verify at the source.
