Fields we read
- legal name and legal category
- main activity (NAF/APE)
- headcount band and company category
- creation date and administrative status
- BODACC events: creation, sale, insolvency judgment, deregistration, filed accounts
Never read: natural-person columns (surname, first names, pseudonym, sex), units with restricted publication, BODACC officer lists and free-text judgments. Active legal persons of a company category from a minimum headcount band, plus every SIREN we already hold; natural persons never.
How our API joins it
Everything we publish is keyed by the company website (domain). We pair each register ID with a domain in three ways, each with a confidence score: the website the register states, a VAT crosswalk (a CORDIS participant's VAT equals the national ID in NO, FI, FR and PL), and a unique company name in the same country matched against the names we hold for domains. Ambiguous matches are dropped.
Today the pairs power the joins behind company pages, tender winner pages and the company card. A public look-up by register ID or VAT number is on the Company ID roadmap and not in the API yet: see company lookup for what works today.
