Competitor Watch · weekly email

Early signals about your competitors, every week

Who they hire, where they expand, which tools they adopt, what they win. Signals that show strategy before it hits the news, in one short email per competitor, for small SaaS teams and founders who do not have an analyst to watch the market for them.

Free first month for up to 3 competitors, no card. Then €29 per competitor a month, or €149 for 10.

What each digest tells you

Hiring by function and countryNew roles this week against their usual weekly pace (4-week baseline): a sales push in Spain, a pause in data science.
New countriesThe first job ads in a country they never hired in: market entry, months before the press release.
Tools they adoptTools named in their job ads that were not there before, or that disappeared: what they build on next.
Posted payPay ranges of new ads against their open ads, by function: where they compete harder for talent.
ReviewsRating moves and review bursts on the app stores where we track them.
Public contracts wonEU and UK contract awards (TED, Find a Tender) with buyer, value and the notice link.
Recruiting systemA switch of ATS: usually a recruiting reset or a scale-up.

Every item carries a one-line why it matters and dated links to the public evidence: the job ad, the contract notice, the store listing. A quiet week says so in one line. Company-level data only: no names, no emails, no people.

Two real digests

Built from our data for the week to 2026-10-23, exactly as the email reads. Items marked provisional rest on a baseline younger than 4 weeks (our daily job history started on 21 October 2026).

Hiring

Sales: 9 new roles (usually 3.8 a week) provisional

153 Sales ads open now; ads by country US 6, BR 1, NL 1.

Why it matters: A sales hiring push usually means more outbound and more competitive deals within one or two quarters. Most of the new ads are in the United States.

Solutions & Pre-sales: no new roles (usually 2 a week) provisional

47 Solutions & Pre-sales ads still open.

Why it matters: No new Solutions & Pre-sales ads after a steady pace: a pause often means a filled plan, a budget cut or a reorganisation in that team.

Posted pay

Sales: posted pay of new ads +25% vs their open Sales ads

Median midpoint 150,500 vs 120,000 USD a year (5 new ads with pay, 61 older open ads).

Why it matters: Higher posted pay for new Sales ads: they are competing harder for this talent, likely a priority area.

Questions

Where does the data come from?

Employer career sites (the public job ads on their own ATS), official tender portals (EU TED and UK Find a Tender) and public app-store review listings. We read them daily and compare each week with the four weeks before.

Which companies can I watch?

Any company website domain. Hiring signals need a job board we track (tens of thousands of employers, most software companies); when we find none, the digest says so and the other sections still run.

Is there personal data in the digest?

No. Everything is at company level: counts, countries, functions, tools, contract awards with organisation names. Job ads are linked, never the people behind them.

How do I stop it?

Every digest has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can remove a competitor at any time.
